Oh my days! Excitement! I am in fact on my way to… wait for it… Manchester! The city’s finally gonna have me back and I’m buzzing . Imagine coming back to your ‘usual playground’ after two weeks of fields, mountains, lakes sheep and farms.
I mean, don’t get me wrong, it was beautiful and nice to get away from everything for a while, but two weeks is quite something and now I can’t wait.
And even though I have to travel on the bus for a total of almost 4 hours and an additional one on the train, I am in a great mood. Nonetheless the bus ride has been a pain again. First a woman was talking to her friend on her phone for about an hour, and she was not exactly talking quietly. When she finally stopped and I already let out an inner scream of relieve. Another woman behind me randomly chat up an old lady and they have been talking to each other ever since and don’t plan to abandon their conversation until the final stop. And this one lass talks LOUD and she probably smokes about two boxes of cigarettes every day and laughs like a witch! I am honestly thinking about going over and telling Shirley and Joanne (yes, I even know their names now) that there are other people in this bus who don’t really want to know all about their one-legged friend or twenty-two year old daughter who lives in Lancaster or that you lived in Blackpool for twenty years!
And tonight I’m meeting Kath in Manchester and we’ll be hitting Manchester Nightlife (don’t worry mum, I’ll behave :*)
